According to the latest statistics released by the World Bank in 2025,in the ranking of the world's GDP in 1986, United States ranked first in terms of GDP, with a total economic volume of $4579.63 billion; Japan ranked second in terms of GDP, with a total economic volume of $2078.95 billion; Germany ranked third in terms of GDP, with a total economic volume of $1046.26 billion; Former Soviet Union ranked fourth in terms of GDP, with a total economy of $849.69 billion; and France, with a total economy of $771.47 billion, ranked fifth in GDP.
