According to the latest statistics released by the World Bank in 2024,in the ranking of the world's GDP in 1970, United States ranked first in terms of GDP, with a total economic volume of $1073.3 billion; Former Soviet Union ranked second in terms of GDP, with a total economic volume of $433.41 billion; Germany ranked third in terms of GDP, with a total economic volume of $215.84 billion; Japan ranked fourth in terms of GDP, with a total economy of $212.61 billion; and France, with a total economy of $148.46 billion, ranked fifth in GDP.
