According to the latest statistics released by the World Bank in 2024,in the ranking of the world's GDP in 1983, United States ranked first in terms of GDP, with a total economic volume of $3634.04 billion; Japan ranked second in terms of GDP, with a total economic volume of $1243.32 billion; Former Soviet Union ranked third in terms of GDP, with a total economic volume of $993.05 billion; Germany ranked fourth in terms of GDP, with a total economy of $770.68 billion; and France, with a total economy of $559.87 billion, ranked fifth in GDP.
