According to the latest statistics released by the World Bank in 2024,in the ranking of the world's GDP in 1980, United States ranked first in terms of GDP, with a total economic volume of $2857.31 billion; Japan ranked second in terms of GDP, with a total economic volume of $1105.39 billion; Germany ranked third in terms of GDP, with a total economic volume of $950.29 billion; Former Soviet Union ranked fourth in terms of GDP, with a total economy of $940.04 billion; and France, with a total economy of $701.29 billion, ranked fifth in GDP.
