According to the latest statistics released by the World Bank in 2024,in the ranking of the world's GDP in 1977, United States ranked first in terms of GDP, with a total economic volume of $2081.83 billion; Former Soviet Union ranked second in terms of GDP, with a total economic volume of $738.42 billion; Japan ranked third in terms of GDP, with a total economic volume of $721.41 billion; Germany ranked fourth in terms of GDP, with a total economy of $600.5 billion; and France, with a total economy of $410.28 billion, ranked fifth in GDP.
