According to the latest statistics released by the World Bank in 2024, among the Southeast Asian countries in 2012, Indonesia ranked first in terms of gross domestic product(GDP), with a total economic volume of $917.87 billion; Thailand ranked second in terms of GDP, with a total economic volume of $397.56 billion; Malaysia ranked third in terms of GDP, with a total economic volume of $314.44 billion; Singapore ranked fourth in terms of GDP, with a total economy of $295.09 billion; and Philippines, with a total economy of $261.92 billion, ranked fifth in GDP.
