According to the latest statistics released by the World Bank in 2024, among the Southeast Asian countries in 1982, Indonesia ranked first in terms of gross domestic product(GDP), with a total economic volume of $90.16 billion; Philippines ranked second in terms of GDP, with a total economic volume of $42.21 billion; Thailand ranked third in terms of GDP, with a total economic volume of $36.59 billion; Malaysia ranked fourth in terms of GDP, with a total economy of $26.8 billion; and Singapore, with a total economy of $16.08 billion, ranked fifth in GDP.
