According to the latest statistics released by the World Bank in 2025, among the Southeast Asian countries in 1981, Indonesia ranked first in terms of gross domestic product(GDP), with a total economic volume of $85.52 billion; Philippines ranked second in terms of GDP, with a total economic volume of $40.5 billion; Thailand ranked third in terms of GDP, with a total economic volume of $34.85 billion; Malaysia ranked fourth in terms of GDP, with a total economy of $25.01 billion; and Singapore, with a total economy of $14.18 billion, ranked fifth in GDP.
