According to the latest statistics released by the World Bank in 2025, among the Southeast Asian countries in 1979, Indonesia ranked first in terms of gross domestic product(GDP), with a total economic volume of $51.4 billion; Philippines ranked second in terms of GDP, with a total economic volume of $31.22 billion; Thailand ranked third in terms of GDP, with a total economic volume of $27.37 billion; Malaysia ranked fourth in terms of GDP, with a total economy of $21.21 billion; and Singapore, with a total economy of $9.3 billion, ranked fifth in GDP.
