According to the latest statistics released by the World Bank in 2025, among the Southeast Asian countries in 1978, Indonesia ranked first in terms of gross domestic product(GDP), with a total economic volume of $51.46 billion; Philippines ranked second in terms of GDP, with a total economic volume of $25.76 billion; Thailand ranked third in terms of GDP, with a total economic volume of $24.01 billion; Malaysia ranked fourth in terms of GDP, with a total economy of $16.36 billion; and Singapore, with a total economy of $7.52 billion, ranked fifth in GDP.
