According to the latest statistics released by the World Bank in 2024, among the Southeast Asian countries in 1972, Indonesia ranked first in terms of gross domestic product(GDP), with a total economic volume of $11 billion; Philippines ranked second in terms of GDP, with a total economic volume of $9.07 billion; Thailand ranked third in terms of GDP, with a total economic volume of $8.18 billion; Malaysia ranked fourth in terms of GDP, with a total economy of $5.04 billion; and Singapore, with a total economy of $2.72 billion, ranked fifth in GDP.
