According to the latest statistics released by the World Bank in 2024, among the OPEC countries in 1989, Iran ranked first in terms of gross domestic product(GDP), with a total economic volume of $120.5 billion; Saudi Arabia ranked second in terms of GDP, with a total economic volume of $95.34 billion; Iraq ranked third in terms of GDP, with a total economic volume of $65.83 billion; Algeria ranked fourth in terms of GDP, with a total economy of $55.63 billion; and Nigeria, with a total economy of $44 billion, ranked fifth in GDP.
