According to the latest statistics released by the World Bank in 2024, among the European countries in 1996, Germany ranked first in terms of gross domestic product(GDP), with a total economic volume of $2497.25 billion; France ranked second in terms of GDP, with a total economic volume of $1605.68 billion; United Kingdom ranked third in terms of GDP, with a total economic volume of $1421.52 billion; Italy ranked fourth in terms of GDP, with a total economy of $1312.43 billion; and Spain, with a total economy of $642.59 billion, ranked fifth in GDP.
