According to the latest statistics released by the World Bank in 2025, among the European countries in 1981, Germany ranked first in terms of gross domestic product(GDP), with a total economic volume of $800.47 billion; France ranked second in terms of GDP, with a total economic volume of $615.55 billion; United Kingdom ranked third in terms of GDP, with a total economic volume of $540.77 billion; Italy ranked fourth in terms of GDP, with a total economy of $430.7 billion; and Spain, with a total economy of $202.81 billion, ranked fifth in GDP.
