According to the latest statistics released by the World Bank in 2024, among the European countries in 1979, Germany ranked first in terms of gross domestic product(GDP), with a total economic volume of $881.35 billion; France ranked second in terms of GDP, with a total economic volume of $613.95 billion; United Kingdom ranked third in terms of GDP, with a total economic volume of $438.99 billion; Italy ranked fourth in terms of GDP, with a total economy of $393.68 billion; and Spain, with a total economy of $214.6 billion, ranked fifth in GDP.
