According to the latest statistics released by the World Bank in 2024, among the European countries in 1972, Germany ranked first in terms of gross domestic product(GDP), with a total economic volume of $299.8 billion; France ranked second in terms of GDP, with a total economic volume of $203.49 billion; United Kingdom ranked third in terms of GDP, with a total economic volume of $169.97 billion; Italy ranked fourth in terms of GDP, with a total economy of $145.26 billion; and Spain, with a total economy of $59.13 billion, ranked fifth in GDP.
