GDP ranking of European countries in 1961

According to the latest statistics released by the World Bank in 2025, among the European countries in 1961, United Kingdom ranked first in terms of gross domestic product(GDP), with a total economic volume of $77.74 billion; France ranked second in terms of GDP, with a total economic volume of $67.46 billion; Italy ranked third in terms of GDP, with a total economic volume of $44.84 billion; Sweden ranked fourth in terms of GDP, with a total economy of $17.21 billion; and Spain, with a total economy of $13.83 billion, ranked fifth in GDP.
