According to the latest statistical information released by the Sichuan Bureau of statistics in 2024, in 2006, the city with the largest economic size in Sichuan was Chengdu, with a GDP of $35 billion; the city with the second largest economic size was Mianyang, with a GDP of $7.2 billion; the city with the third largest economic size was Deyang, with a GDP of $6.9 billion; the city with the fourth largest economic size was Yibin, with a GDP of $5.5 billion, Nanchong ranks fifth in economic scale, with a GDP of $5.1 billion.
