According to the latest statistical information released by the Sichuan Bureau of statistics in 2024, in 2005, the city with the largest economic size in Sichuan was Chengdu, with a GDP of $29.4 billion; the city with the second largest economic size was Mianyang, with a GDP of $6 billion; the city with the third largest economic size was Deyang, with a GDP of $5.8 billion; the city with the fourth largest economic size was Yibin, with a GDP of $4.6 billion, Dazhou ranks fifth in economic scale, with a GDP of $4.3 billion.
