According to the latest statistical information released by the Sichuan Bureau of statistics in 2024, in 2002, the city with the largest economic size in Sichuan was Chengdu, with a GDP of $20.4 billion; the city with the second largest economic size was Mianyang, with a GDP of $4.6 billion; the city with the third largest economic size was Deyang, with a GDP of $3.9 billion; the city with the fourth largest economic size was Yibin, with a GDP of $3.2 billion, Dazhou ranks fifth in economic scale, with a GDP of $2.8 billion.
