According to the latest statistical information released by the Jiangsu Bureau of statistics in 2024, in 1992, the city with the largest economic size in Jiangsu was Suzhou, with a GDP of $5.8 billion; the city with the second largest economic size was Wuxi, with a GDP of $4.6 billion; the city with the third largest economic size was Nanjing, with a GDP of $4 billion; the city with the fourth largest economic size was Yangzhou, with a GDP of $3.6 billion, Nantong ranks fifth in economic scale, with a GDP of $2.9 billion.
