According to the latest statistical information released by the Inner Mongolia Bureau of statistics in 2024, in 1995, the city with the largest economic size in Inner Mongolia was Baotou, with a GDP of $1.8 billion; the city with the second largest economic size was Chifeng, with a GDP of $1.3 billion; the city with the third largest economic size was Hohhot, with a GDP of $1.1 billion; the city with the fourth largest economic size was Xing'an League, with a GDP of $0.4 billion, Wuhai ranks fifth in economic scale, with a GDP of $0.3 billion.
