According to the latest statistical information released by the Hunan Bureau of statistics in 2024, in 1992, the city with the largest economic size in Hunan was Changsha, with a GDP of $2.1 billion; the city with the second largest economic size was Changde, with a GDP of $1.6 billion; the city with the third largest economic size was Yueyang, with a GDP of $1.4 billion; the city with the fourth largest economic size was Hengyang, with a GDP of $1.4 billion, Zhuzhou ranks fifth in economic scale, with a GDP of $1.2 billion.
