According to the latest statistics released by the World Bank in 2024, among the Asian countries in 1978, Japan ranked first in terms of gross domestic product(GDP), with a total economic volume of $1013.61 billion; China ranked second in terms of GDP, with a total economic volume of $149.4 billion; India ranked third in terms of GDP, with a total economic volume of $137.3 billion; Saudi Arabia ranked fourth in terms of GDP, with a total economy of $80.27 billion; and Iran, with a total economy of $77.99 billion, ranked fifth in GDP.
