According to the latest statistics released by the World Bank in 2024, among the ASEAN countries in 1996, Indonesia ranked first in terms of gross domestic product(GDP), with a total economic volume of $227.37 billion; Thailand ranked second in terms of GDP, with a total economic volume of $183.04 billion; Malaysia ranked third in terms of GDP, with a total economic volume of $100.86 billion; Singapore ranked fourth in terms of GDP, with a total economy of $96.3 billion; and Philippines, with a total economy of $94.65 billion, ranked fifth in GDP.
