GDP ranking of Americas countries in 1996

According to the latest statistics released by the World Bank in 2025, among the countries of the Americas in 1996, United States ranked first in terms of gross domestic product(GDP), with a total economic volume of $8073.12 billion; Brazil ranked second in terms of GDP, with a total economic volume of $850.43 billion; Canada ranked third in terms of GDP, with a total economic volume of $628.55 billion; Mexico ranked fourth in terms of GDP, with a total economy of $410.98 billion; and Argentina, with a total economy of $272.15 billion, ranked fifth in GDP.
