GDP ranking of Americas countries in 1978

According to the latest statistics released by the World Bank in 2024, among the countries of the Americas in 1978, United States ranked first in terms of gross domestic product(GDP), with a total economic volume of $2351.6 billion; Canada ranked second in terms of GDP, with a total economic volume of $218.63 billion; Brazil ranked third in terms of GDP, with a total economic volume of $200.28 billion; Mexico ranked fourth in terms of GDP, with a total economy of $102.5 billion; and Argentina, with a total economy of $58.08 billion, ranked fifth in GDP.
