According to the latest statistics released by the World Bank in 2024, among the Africa countries in 1985, Nigeria ranked first in terms of gross domestic product(GDP), with a total economic volume of $73.75 billion; South Africa ranked second in terms of GDP, with a total economic volume of $64.46 billion; Algeria ranked third in terms of GDP, with a total economic volume of $57.94 billion; Egypt ranked fourth in terms of GDP, with a total economy of $39.05 billion; and Morocco, with a total economy of $14.99 billion, ranked fifth in GDP.
